Conferences and Colloquiums:

  • Several of our members attended and presented posters at the Annual CBN Undergraduate Research Colloquium, held at the Zoo on April 25th. Album

  • We hosted travel awards to the South East Nerve Net Conference in Walluka Springs Florida, with funding from the Center for Neuromics. Congratulations to Anetta Pool and Aaron Ajlen as our winners!

  • We hosted travel awards to the Society for Neuroscience Conference 2007 in San Diego with funding from the Center for Neuromics and the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience. Congratuations to Carla Dams and Yvonne Ogbonmwan as our winnter!

Meetings and Parties:

  • Inaugural Meeting: We had our first meeting March 15, as a movie and a speaker night. Dr. Matthew Grober talked with us about how he got involved with Neuroscience, and with watched a great IMAX film about Neuroscience.

Zebra Finches, Dr. Tricia King: the adaptive functioning of adult survivors of childhood brain tumors, Dr. Kyle Frantz: integrating the fields of developmental psychobiology, psychopharmacology, and neurochemistry by investigating the neurobehavioral effects of drugs of abuse in developing rats.

September: Dr. Elliot Albers: Behavior Functions of Neurotransmitters, Dr. Aras Petrulis: gonadal steroid hormones alter neural processing of social cues, Dr. Marise Parent: neurotransmitters and emotional activation contribute to memory and memory dysfunction.
