Requirements for Admission

An undergraduate or master’s degree in the biology, chemistry or a related field.

  • Transcripts of past academic performance
  • List of courses interested in studying
  • GRE Scores
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation
  • TOEFL/IELTS scores (International students only)

Deadlines for Graduate Applications

PhD Deadline:

  • Fall semester – April 30
  • Spring semester – Does not admit
  • Summer semester – Does not admit

*Note: Priority deadline for PhD applicants seeking an assistantship for Fall should submit their application materials by December 6.

Master’s Deadline:

  • Fall semester – July 1
  • Spring semester – November 15
  • Summer semester – Does not admit

Note: All applicants are asked to email your Graduate Coordinator a copy of their Statement of Goals, once the online application has been submitted to the College of Arts & Sciences.
