Graduate Programs Admissions
Requirements for Admission
- An undergraduate or masters degree in the biological sciences,
chemistry or a related field.
- Transcripts of past academic performance
- Scores on the Graduate Record Examination
- Three letters of reference
- A statement of academic interests and goals.
- International applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English.
This may be done by taking the TOEFL test.
Deadlines for Graduate Applications
- Deadlines for the Graduate Program are:
Note: Priority deadline for PhD applicants seeking an assistantship for Fall 2008 should submit their application materials in by December 14, 2007.
All other applicants please submit materials in by the deadlines below:
- Spring Semester 2008 - November 15, 2007
- Summer Semester 2008 - May 1, 2008
- Fall Semester 2008 - July 1, 2008
- International applicantions must be received four weeks before the regular deadline. This does not apply to the PhD priorty deadline.

Note: All applicants are asked to email the Graduate Coordinator
(biolxm@langate.gsu.edu) a copy of their Statement of Goals once the
online application has been submitted to the
College of Arts &
Sciences.
MD/PhD Program
The MD/PhD Program with the Medical College of Georgia requires
a different application
than that used by GSU. View
