Masters Programs: Overview

The Department of Biology offers the Master of Science degree in Biology with concentrations in Applied and Environmental Microbiology, Cellular Molecular Biology & Physiology, Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry and Neurobiology and Behavior and an interdepartmental concentration in Bioinformatics.

Applicants with a biological science degree are encouraged to apply, but the department will also consider applicants with related degrees. In many cases, deficiencies in certain areas can be made up within the first year of study.

The M.S. is offered with a thesis or a non-thesis option.
