Professional Development Workshops


In collaboration with its community partners, the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience sponsors professional development workshops on animal behavior and the brain and other science topics for metro Atlanta teachers. The week-long summer programs, which meet the requirements of Georgia 's Quality Core Curriculum and earn teachers Professional Learning Units, consist of intensive hands-on instruction led by CBN educators at Georgia State University . At the end of the workshops, teachers demonstrate their command of the material through “Teach Backs,” neuroscience lessons that they develop based on the workshops.

Eligibility criteria:

• K-12 teachers from metro Atlanta schools.
