Undergraduate Research & Teaching Opportunities

Within GSU, there are a many avenues to explore for undergraduate research and teaching opportunities. Students can register for Biol 4910 to do an independent research project with a faculty member. Download the primer for Biol 4910 (PDF) to get helpful pointers for research credit.

Some faculty members may have technician positions in their laboratories. Some of these may be listed on the Undergraduate job board. Others may be posted outside the Biology Department main office at 402 Kell.

The McNair Scholarship Program is a pre-graduate fellowship designed to prepare promising students for graduate studies leading to the obtainment of a doctoral degree. The program requires a commitment of approximately four (4) hours monthly during the academic year with a full time commitment during the summer. ...more
