Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Within GSU, there are a many avenues to explore for undergraduate research and teaching opportunities. Students can register for Biol 4910 to do an independent research project with a faculty member .
Some faculty members may have technician positions in their laboratories. Some of these may be listed on the Undergraduate job board . Others may be posted outside the Biology Department main office at 402 Kell.
The McNair Scholarship Program is a pre-graduate fellowship designed to prepare promising students for graduate studies leading to the obtainment of a doctoral degree. Honors Program and Biology Club
The department participates in the GSU
Honors Program and encourages qualified students to apply. The
department sponsors a Biology
Club and the Eta Psi chapter of Beta Beta Beta, the national honorary
biological society. Interested students are encouraged to participate
in these organizations.
