Congratulations to the Biology majors who contributed 92 posters at the Spring STEM Conference (March 29)! At this event, energetic students showcased research projects and interests on an topics ranging from impacts of hurricanes in the Caribbean, microbial communities of soil, effects of stress on vertebrate physiology, and evolution of zebra stripes. CURE offerings provided through the Biology Undergraduate Research Program were well represented including work performed by students enrolled in Vertebrate Biology (BIOL 4013K), our newest CURE. In coming semesters, Biology launches three, new CUREs (Metagenomics, Invertebrate Biology, and Flow Cytometry), we look forward to even stronger representation at the conference in Fall.
