Biology encompasses the study of the origin, development, structure, function and distribution of all living organisms. It is one of the fastest growing scientific fields. Emerging areas of bioinformatics and biotechnology make it an exciting area of study.

ABOUT BIOLOGY

The Medical Science concentration in Biology's M.S. program has a medical school acceptance rate of 90%.

The Biology Department offers a dual B.S./M.S. program where students can get both degrees within five years.

M.S. in Biology

Looking to advance your career? The Master of Science in Biology program prepares graduates for careers in the bio-sciences or in preparation for a further professional degree.

M.S., Medical Sciences in Biology

The Master of Biology Medical Sciences Program (MBMS) is designed to help students be better prepared to apply to medical school and succeed in the tough first year of coursework. Our program graduates have a 90% acceptance rate into medical school.

Doctoral Program

Want to do research? The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology program leads to a research and/or teaching career at a university. Graduates may also work in the bioscience industry.
