Dr. Ediger received her undergraduate degree in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She then went to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for the combined MD/Ph.D. program, completing her Ph.D. research studies on the effects of growth factors on airway smooth muscle cells. After graduating, she pursued a variety of volunteer and paid non-profit opportunities for the next few years, before a five-year stint teaching Anatomy & Physiology courses at Georgia Gwinnett College. Since May 2018, Dr. Ediger has held the position of Academic Professional faculty member for Anatomy & Physiology education at Georgia State University, lecturing and overseeing the BIOL 2110K and BIOL 2120K labs. She is interested in efforts to increase spatial ability and also to impact student success by improving student metacognitive skills.
